Providence is a city of movement and life. It seems as if everything and everyone are constantly undergoing alterations. I can provide yet another of these shifts. Yesterday, my roommate Shelly moved out. It's a little strange to not have her here in the evening. after three months of sharing meals, activities, and space. We had a great summer together and I miss her already!
But, I have to admit that I like the fluctuations of the city. We've only been here a year, and already been in two apartments. And so I am enjoying this little space of time where I have the apartment all to myself. Sunday Reid will come home. Yay! It will certainly be wonderful to have him back! We will have a couple days together, to get a few things done, and get to have some fun too! Then things will change again as classes begin on the 3rd. Our friend Scott will get back from vaca and move in. We are looking forward to having him!
So today I have been busy busy starting to get ready for the guys. What better way to prepare for change than to change everything around you? If you know me at all, you know I have been moving things around, re-organizing, cleaning, sorting, etc. I never seem to get tired of recreating a space. I guess I fit in well in this ever-modifying place.
I know that there is almost a month until the official first day of Fall, but with schools starting back up, students pouring back into the city, and the sun setting so much earlier here, it is certainly feeling like the end of summer. It's hard to believe three months have passed since Reid left for CA.
The world just continues to change around me. Sometimes I feel like Hugh Grant in Knotting Hill, walking down the street as the world shifts. But then I look back, and I realize I've changed too. This one week of calm, and then we'll see what the wind brings...

I love the way you write. And sometimes I wish I had time to notice all of the changes around me instead of just trying to keep up :) I miss you! Wish I was there to re-organize with you...I love that!
