I really do love living in the city. I like walking down the city streets--people all around, cars everywhere, the air full of sounds, people smiling. I love how close everything is. I love all the beautiful architecture. I love the hustle and bustle. I always enjoy walking around, but especially with my ipod on. Its like being in a movie--its as if everyone is being orchestrated to fit my soundtrack, but they just don't know it. I'm simply part of the scenery to them...but maybe thats part of the charm too--being a part of something. I am part of the atmosphere too, part of the ambiance and draw of the city. While I may miss the open views and big sky of the West, there is just something about the East that is beautifully established and yet so full of life's energy. One can't help but be upbeat on these city streets.

Oh Jess, you put this so well - so poetically. I feel the same about the city, even though I've never lived in one on the East Coast. Someday, hopefully, I will! :) Thanks for giving me a glimpse into your beautiful city life... it was a reprieve from boring work.
