Spring has finally come to Providence. The weather has begun to warm up, even with all of the rain. While most of the city is still brown and decaying, I see hints of new life around me. Some of the trees are starting to get green, and flower leaves are popping up. I don't mind the rain, knowing what it will bring.
And just as the heavy water brings grass and flowers, I see the reflection of renewal in my own life. I work as a full-time nanny, and the family I work for has decided to put their child in day-care for more socialization. The parents love having me as their nanny, but they really want to have the baby be around other kids. This means that my job ends with May. This must be some of my rain. So, I have taken a lesson from the world around me and have decided to absorb this water, knowing that something good will grow from it.
May will bring many changes to our lives. Reid finished his semester and heads off to California. We move apartments. I end a job. Lots of change. But good change, I think. I know God sees me and knows me and loves me. And I guess that's all I need to know.

What a great attitude you have about this. Soak up that rain and grow toward the sun, little Jess flower. :)
