This One's For You

I often tell people that I'm going to start a newspaper that only has good news. Stories of life saving, criminals caught, the lack of robberies, people seeking help rather than doing something harmful, old ladies being helped across the road. You know--that kind of thing. So, today I am going to give good news. Here it is: there are some wonderful people in this world and I know a few of them. So, this one's for you.

Reid, thank you for understanding me and letting me talk-a-mile-minute in a circle, crying, laughing, and throwing a fit, all the while acting as if I am normal. Dad, thank you for always believing in me and pushing me to do my best, while somehow letting me know you would love me just the same even if I failed. Mom, thank you for loving me through everything, always listening, and knowing when and how to give me advice, and always making me feel comfortable in my own skin. Jonathan, thank you for looking out for me, teasing me, giving me attention, and always letting me know you care. Kelby, thank you for being the sister I never had, shopping with me, and being able to chat about anything and everything.

Billy and Sheryl, thank you for welcoming me into your family and letting me be your daughter. Dean and Teresa, thank you for the great talks, great food, and great friendship. Bethany, thank you for accepting me and making me feel like we'd known each other forever. Michelle, thank you for all the great girl nights and your regular company in an uncertain time.

Megan, thank you for listening, sharing, hugging, and being there no matter what. Steph, thank you for being my forever roomie, for not letting distance separate our hearts. Lori E, thank you for understanding things others cannot, and being open to discus anything. Ammon and Sara, thank you for fellowship, laughter, and great poker games. Josh and Krissy, thank you for helping Reid and I meet, and thank you for being here so long, its nice to have old friends. Kendra S, thank you for keeping in touch, reading this blog, and making me feel like I can achieve something.

Shelly, thank you for caring, giving of yourself, and being with me during this time. Kate S, thank you for nudging me to reach for my dreams, and for your empathy. Chard and Sarah, thank you for opening your house, arms, ears, and lives to us. Scott D, thank you for hanging out, helping to make here feel like home. Kristi, thank you for your words and strong foundation. Becky, thank you for being like a sister over here, when no family is near by. Kim, thank you for your kindness and hard work. Kristin, thank you for your openness and honesty. Lisa, thank you for sharing in life. Josh H, thank you for being a friend. Kate and Chris, thank you for giving so much of yourselves, and letting us be a small part of your lives.

There is much more I could say and many more I could mention, but this is just a blog. To all of you, thank you for being my friend.

You are such a sweetheart! I love the "positive newspaper" idea. I often wish the newspapers were that way ... why only read about the depressing, scary and disconcerting things in life?! :)

You go girl! Thanks for always encouraging me and believing I can achieve more than even I think I can.

HUGS!

Thank you for the kind words.

Thanks should also be given to you and Reid. Thank you for having servants hearts. Thank you for being willing to help. Thank you for being our friends. Thank you for getting us addicted to the Wii. We appreciate you both...even if our wallets don't.
